Gearbox Input Shaft Oil Seal 50-60 Bus & Beetle. 111-307-113C

Replacement seal for the main input shaft found inside the bell housing behind the clutch release bearing for use on all split case gearboxes (Pre July 1960 models) originally found in Beetles, Karmann Ghias and Splitscreen Buses.

This special seal has a larger collar, which ensures that you do not press the seal to fair into the gearbox casing.  Pre July 1960 Split case gearboxes do not feature an inner rim which acts as a stop for the input shaft seal.  The later model seal 113311113A will fit split case gearboxes but without the extra lip you could push it too far insto the case when installing.  So now you can fit the correct seal for your split case gearbox.
